Thanksgiving

Spencer and I and two other girls from work and their husbands were all stuck here for Thanksgiving so we decided to have our own! We were a little nervous because it was a first for all of us and we've never made a turkey before! Michelle and I went shopping and picked out a 12 lb beauty named Bertha. We took as many tips as we could and it turned out awesome!! We had turkey, homemade mashed potatoes, rolls, green bean casserole, stuffing and gravy. And for dessert we had 2 pumpkins pies, pumpkin bars, banana cream pie and a chocolate cream pie. Delish! I now have the confidence to say that if we're ever not able to go home for Thanksgiving again, I can make a turkey! Although I did call my mom after the turkey had been cooking a few minutes past the time and asked what the button looks like when it "pops". I included a pictures of the popped button for those of you who don't know.
